An Interview with Dr. Loizides
Toward the end of high school and during university, my studies in biology, anatomy, and physiology led to a fascination with the structure and function of the human body. I was lucky enough to watch my first surgery in the operating room in my last year of high school, and I knew then that surgery was my calling. I discovered the field of plastic surgery during medical school. I loved the variety of performing surgery anywhere on the human body and the combination of skills required. To successfully design, modify, and ultimately enhance human form and function takes both a deep knowledge of human anatomy and artistry.
In addition to the surgery itself and the skill, knowledge, and artistry it requires, I love working with patients to figure out their goals and establish and execute a successful treatment plan to achieve them. It is very satisfying to see a patient at their six-month follow-up and find that they’re ecstatic over their surgical results.
We like to put patients at ease throughout our experience together, from the first contact, when they reach out for a consultation, to the very last follow-up appointment. We take the time to listen to and understand each patient’s goals before embarking on a procedure. We also take the time to educate patients to fully understand what will happen and the risks of the procedure and ensure that they have realistic expectations for the outcome. We are easy to reach for all questions and concerns, and patients have very easy access to me.
And, of course, I strive for excellent, natural-looking results in all procedures and treatments, surgical and non-surgical.
